The challenge: create an immersive dome experience and showcase the purse.
Ratio et Motus wanted an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience on Instagram to showcase the collection's avant-garde designs and innovative materials. The goal was to allow users to discover the collection's unique aesthetic and understand the inspiration behind the designs through an immersive experience.
Our objective was to enable users to interact with the purses in an engaging way, giving them the ability to view it in 360 degrees, zoom in and out, and explore every dimension. Also to give users the feeling of being in the "Pleasure Dome" while also showcasing the purse in 3d. which was only possible through AR. The experience was designed to be easily accessible to the brand's audience, and we achieved this by creating an AR filter on Instagram.
Such Instagram AR filters can enhance consumers' online shopping experience by allowing them to view a product in a more realistic and lifelike way using Instagram filters. This can help them get a better sense of the size, shape, and features of the product, which is particularly useful for products that are difficult to visualize. It can also aid consumers in making more informed purchasing decisions by allowing them to view the product in a virtually. The interactive and engaging experience provided by AR can increase consumer engagement and lead to higher conversion rates. Additionally, it enables consumers to visualize the product before actually buying it, which can make them more confident in their purchasing decisions.
Our approach: Interactive Product Showcase and Virtual 360-Degree Store Experience
Our team started by gathering all relevant information about the product, including its 3D model, images, and color charts. We then optimized the 3D model for optimal performance, with a focus on minimizing its file size for faster loading and enhanced user experience.
We created effects for both the rear and front cameras. Using the rear camera, users can view the product in the context of a 360-degree virtual Pleasure Dome environment and interact with the product's 3D model by rotating it, and zooming in and out, to get a detailed view of the product. This will give users a feel of window shopping from the store.
When using the front camera, users can see themselves in Pleasure Dome environment, making them feel like they're in the brand's store. This creates an immersive and interactive shopping experience, enhancing the overall customer satisfaction.
