Sunglasses Collection
Each of the three debut JB Sun styles is expertly engineered to the highest industry standard. Throughout the 100+ step process came unique features like laminated nose pads for a more comfortable fit, and German barrel hinges for a long-lasting, high-performing pair of sunglasses, made with sustainable materials including biodegradable acetate and recycled steel.
The challenge: Allow users to virtually try-on sunglasses.
The challenge was to create an augmented reality (AR) experience that would allow users to try on multiple styles of sunglasses with different patterns, ensuring that they were true to size with the original sunglasses. The process of setting up the colors of the product was a difficult task, as they appeared much different in software than they did in real life. This required numerous trials and adjustments to achieve the best size and colors.
The goal was to create an immersive AR experience where users could try on the product and engage with it using a face filter feature on the popular social AR platform, Instagram. This would provide an interactive and engaging way for users to experience the product before making a purchase. With the use of AR technology, users can virtually try on the sunglasses and see how they look on them, without physically having to go to the store.
Overall, the project aimed to leverage the power of AR technology and social media platforms to create an interactive and engaging experience for the users, allowing them to try on the product before making a purchase decision. The final outcome was a successful AR experience that was able to replicate the true size and colors of the sunglasses, providing a realistic and accurate representation of the product.
